RAMP is Mason’s online research administration system. For Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment, RAMP COI is used to complete disclosures, submit annual certifications, and request approval when required.

Use RAMP to complete COI/COC disclosures, annual disclosure forms, and approval requests.

Open your RAMP notification
Click the link provided in your notification email and sign in with your Mason ID.
Review the instructions and training information
Read the information describing Mason policies and what needs to be disclosed before answering the disclosure questions.
Answer the disclosure questions
Select Yes or No when asked whether you have financial interests, outside activities, or other situations to disclose.
Provide details if needed
If you have something to disclose, RAMP will ask you to describe the situation in the field provided.
Wait for confirmation if approval is required
If approval is required for an activity, you will receive confirmation once the approval is completed.
What may need to be disclosed?
Personal Interest in a Transaction
If you do not know whether an entity has a business relationship with Mason, click Yes and search for the entity in the entity disclosure page.
Significant Financial Interests
Significant financial interests related to institutional responsibilities must be disclosed before research proposal submission.
Immediate Family Members
If an immediate family member works at Mason, you may be required to disclose their name.
Outside Employment
Instructional and research faculty, administrative faculty, and staff may need to disclose outside employment through RAMP COI.
SOEI Filers
Some employees may also need to complete a separate Commonwealth of Virginia disclosure using a state system.
